The Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH) is one of the largest research centres in the country and is listed among the Top-20 of the EU’s Research Centres with the highest participation in FP7 competitive research grants. CERTH participates in this project through its Information Technologies Institute (ITI) which has scientific expertise on related research areas, namely the analysis and mining of multimedia content and data, as well as on social network analysis and social media analytics. The team currently consists of two senior researchers, and more than 60 researchers and developers. In 2008, CERTH was among the first Greek research organizations to undersign and accept the principles of the Researcher’s Charter and the Code of Conduct for Recruitment of Researchers- (“the Charter and Code”). In the field of human resources is the “HR EXCELLENCE IN RESEARCH” logo.
ITI and MKLab are fully embodied in the organisational and infrastructural provisions of CERTH. MKLab provides ESRs access to its cloud infrastructure consisting of 150+ cores, 600+GB RAM, 60+ TB storage. Additionally, CERTH employs a significant amount of research assistants and experienced researchers who will support ESRs in their research.
